Environmental challenges form an inevitable part of our lives. Tackling these challenges is hence a priority that Tatva works towards dedicatedly.
Energy efficiency is one of Tatva’s main focus areas, not only in its operations but also in the services it provides to its customers. Tatva believes that an effective way of serving the needs of the environment is by reducing its own reliance on natural resources. Organic waste collected from different waste sites is processed to produce methane gas, which is used to produce power. In this manner, Tatva offsets it greenhouse gas emissions, in turn enabling our customers to lower their use of energy and resources. Tatva also engages in segregation and processing of municipal solid waste to produce Refuse Derived Fuel fluff (RDF). RDF can then be used as an alternate solid fuel in place of coal in different applications like process heating in chemical plants, generation of electricity in Thermal power plant, boiler application in cement industries, etc.
Tatva realizes that the future depends on our ability to design and develop technologies which will replace those of the 20th century in dealing with water treatment, waste management, greenhouse emissions and power generation. Therefore, innovation through technology, engineering and design remains one of its top priorities, which is evident from the significant process improvements implemented by Tatva, and the number and variety of industries it serves. A fine example would be group Company BEIL's Hazardous Waste Landfill Site, which is the first facility in India certified under ISO 140001, and among very few such facility providers the world over. Moreover, our common effluent treatment plant (CETP) at Ankleshwar won a rare accolade from World Bank for the best CETP design for treating waste emanating from 250 small scale industries in the region.
Tatva believes that in order to bring about sustainable change, it is important to take an initiative towards betterment of the environment. Through our turnkey, BOO, BOOT and EPC projects, we work closely with our clients in order to bring about actionable change. We are always on the lookout for partners who can share our passion and commitment towards the environment.
Public private partnership lies at the heart of Tatva’s business model. Until a few years back, the waste management sector was highly disorganized. With the advent of the 21st century, the partial formalization of the sector via PPP has ushered the beginning of a new, more environmentally conscious era. While the public authorities focus their activities on planning and management, a private Company can take over the day-to-day operation of a service in a defined area.
Some of the advantages of implementing a PPP system include:
