Reline Engineers Associates Pvt. Ltd. - Sewage Treatment Plant (STP)

Tatva has set up this Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) based on the Chemo Autotrophic Activated Carbon Oxidation (CAACO) technology, with a capacity of 2.05 MLD, for the treatment of domestic sewage generated from corporate premises in Reliance Corporate Park - Nocil, Navi Mumbai.

CAACO is an aerobic treatment technology which immobilizes specially developed micro-organisms/ bacteria in the pores of activated carbon matrix. It is self sustained & once installed the carbon matrix does not require to be changed. Biomass production is negligible, thereby avoiding sludge handling or dewatering issues.

Out of the plant's total capacity, 820m3/day treated water will be further treated with softener to soften water for HVAC use. Also, the treated water will be reused for flushing and horticultural purposes within the corporate premises.

Utilizing the Membrane Bio-reactor Technology with a capacity of 0.55 MLD, 0.40 MLD & 0.35 MLD, Tatva has executed the recycle & reuse project of domestic and industrial sewage for some of the largest players in the Indian private sector like Raheja and Oberoi Group - Mumbai, Maharashtra, on a BOOT basis.

One of the projects is located in the basement of the commercial mall of Raheja Group. Treated water is being used for the processes of air conditioning in the commercial complex, and flushing and gardening for residential facilities.

For the execution of the project, Tatva has partnered Kubota Corporation, Japan. This project is being done on BOOT basis for 10 years & has successfully completed 2 years of operation and maintenance.

Jodhpur Pradushan Niwaran Trust - Up-gradation of Primary treatment plant of CETP

Tatva setup the upgradation of primary treatment section of Common Effluent Treatment Plant (CETP) with a capacity of 2.5 MLD for the treatment of acidic effluent generated from textile (Dying units) industries and steel rolling mills in Sangaria, Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The Plant uses Activated Sludge Process for this treatment.

Sterlite Industries Limited - Effluent Treatment Plant

Tatva has set up the revamping of a waste acid treatment plant (using the sodium sulfide route) for the treatment of effluent generated in the gas cleaning plant during the production of sulfuric acid in Tutikorine, Tamil Nadu.

Effluents in the gas cleaning plant are highly acidic and corrosive, therefore they are being handled and treated with utmost care and concern for the environment, health and safety.

Enviro Technology Limited (ETL) - Modernisation of Common Effluent Treatment Plant (Primary section)

ETL has its own 1.8 MLD capacity Common Effluent Treatment plant for the treatment of effluent (Raw acidic wastewater) generated from surrounding industries in Ankleshwar, Gujarat. For the expansion and modernization of the existing treatment facilities, Tatva has developed a primary treatment facility parallel to the existing facility for the treatment of the same capacity of wastewater.  This facility mainly consists of neutralization tanks; clarifier/thickener; sludge sump, SBC shed & associated mechanical, electrical & instrumentation works.

Wastewater from diversified industries like dyes, dyes intermediates, pharmaceuticals, pigments, chemicals, pesticides, paints & coatings etc. are treated here using the neutralization followed by clarification process.

Enviro Technology Limited (ETL) - Modernisation of Common Effluent Treatment Plant (Secondary section)

Tatva undertook the expansion of the Common Effluent Treatment Plant (secondary treatment facilities) at ETL to increase the treatment capacity of waste from 2500m3/day to 3500 m3/day. This has been achieved by replacing the current Surface Aerator System to the Diffused Aeration system with a capacity of 2.5 MLD in Ankleshwar, Gujarat.

Reliance Industry Limited (RIL) - Waste Water Treatment Plant using UASB Technology

Tatva set up a waste water treatment plant to treat 7.44 MLD of waste water from the PTA Plant in RIL Hazira, Gujarat, utilizing the Up-flow Anaerobic Sludge Blanket Reactor (UASB) technology.

The UASB technology utilizes the high COD reduction capacity of especially cultured granular biomass which leads to a smaller sized reactor, minimum use of energy, and elimination of secondary clarification systems.

In addition, the plant efficiently converts the destroyed COD to Biogas, which is used as fuel in fired heaters, thereby minimizing the payback period. This technology minimizes the generation of fresh biomass, resulting in only about 2-3 % of COD being destroyed, as against 25 % of COD being destroyed using Conventional Activated Sludge Systems, hence minimizing the sludge disposal cost.

Biocon Ltd. - Effluent Treatment plant based on UASB Technology

Tatva has set up a 1.16 MLD capacity effluent treatment plant based on Up-flow Anaerobic Sludge Blanket Reactor (UASB) technology for the treatment of pharmaceutical wastewater in Bengaluru, Karnataka.

Wastewater has been classified in 4 different streams i.e. A, B, C & D, based on the nature of waste characteristics like organic load, TDS and pH parameters. After carrying out various studies for the treatment of waste, Tatva developed treatment schemes like neutralization followed by clarification for pre-treatment of stream B & D & equalization along with waste of stream C prior to the combined treatment. Combined treatment mainly includes physicochemical treatment, followed by secondary biological section which consists of UASB reactors, followed by processing in the aeration tank.

Another byproduct, i.e. the chemical and bio sludge generated from this plant, is fed to dewatering systems to concentrate the sludge quantity for disposal. Also, the Biogas generated from the anaerobic section is collected in biogas holders for use as a source of fuel in the incineration process.

Sabic Research Laboratory - Effluent Treatment Plant

Tatva has set up a wastewater treatment plant for waste water being discharged from the Sabic Research Laboratory, (Sabic is one of the world's largest Petrochemical companies) located in Savli , Dist. Baroda, Gujarat.

The effluent treatment plant was designed and constructed to give flexibility to the operation and to accommodate variations in the effluent discharge pattern & characteristics. The resultant plant was a compact plant equipped to treat any of the parameters contributing to the pollution potential, and to accomplish the Company's policy of zero discharge.

Reliance Industry Limited (RIL) - Effluent Treatment plant based on EGSB followed by UASB technology

Capacity:  3.00 MLD

One of the model projects executed by Tatva is revamping of PTA facilities in RIL. This Effluent Treatment Plant is based on a two-stage anaerobic treatment technology i.e. Expanded Granular Sludge Blanket (EGSB) followed by Up flow Anaerobic Sludge Bed Reactor (UASB) processes for the treatment of effluent generated from the PTA complex in Patalganga, Maharashtra.

This treatment process generates Biogas containing more than 65-70% methane gas. RIL has won the ICMA award for this project.

Veraval Industries Association - Conveyance system & Common Effluent Treatment Plant

Tatva has set up a conveyance system for effluent and a Common Effluent Treatment Plant (CETP) with a capacity of 5 MLD based on the Expanded Granular Sludge Blanket (EGSB) followed by the Up flow Anaerobic Sludge Bed Reactor (UASB) technology for the treatment of effluent / waste water generated from the fisheries and food processing industries in Veraval, Gujarat.

The scope of work included route survey, laying pipe lines, construction of pump house with flow measuring meters including collection of effluent for the conveyance of effluent generated from 42 member industries up to the CETP, and also the design, engineering, construction and commissioning of CETP. The treatment scheme consisted of waste screening, oil & grease removal, and equalization to equalize the waste in terms of flow & strength. A fine pore diffused aeration system also results in power savings, when compared to conventional surface aerator systems & coarse bubble aeration.
